Visual mold inspection
Moisture meter, thermal camera and a walkthrough of attic, basement, bathrooms and HVAC returns.
Free · about 45 minutesAnswer five quick questions to see your home's mold-risk level, then lock in a free visual inspection with a certified Moldvane assessor. No pressure, no scare tactics — just readings and a clear plan.
Most of what we find is out of sight — behind drywall, under flooring, along attic sheathing. If any of these sound familiar, an inspection is worth an hour of your time.
Bleach lightens the surface but rarely reaches the roots in porous drywall. Recurring staining usually means a moisture source nearby.
Relative humidity above 60% is enough for growth on wood and paper-faced drywall.
That earthy odor is often the first clue — even when nothing is visible yet.
Materials that stayed wet for 24–48 hours are the most common source we trace.
Text a photo to our assessors and we'll tell you honestly whether it needs a visit.
Every step is photographed and logged in your job report, so you have records for a home sale, an insurance conversation or your own peace of mind.
Visual check, thermal imaging and moisture mapping of affected areas.
Air or surface samples sent to an independent lab when the situation calls for it.
Poly barriers, negative air pressure and HEPA scrubbers isolate the work zone.
Affected materials removed, surfaces HEPA-vacuumed, cleaned and treated.
Post-remediation re-test and a written report before we take down containment.
Straight answers before anyone shows up. Your written estimate is based on the square footage and materials we actually find.

Every remediation ends with a clearance test compared against an outdoor baseline. Here's what a typical Moldvane job report looks like for a finished basement in Oak Ridge.
Sample job data shown for illustration. Results vary by home.
"Two other companies quoted us a full basement tear-out. Moldvane's moisture map showed it was one wall behind the laundry. Half the cost and they fixed the actual leak."
"Our daughter's allergies were worse at home. They tested, found elevated spores in the HVAC return, and the clearance report made selling the house painless."
"Clean crew, sealed everything off, and walked me through every photo afterward. No fear-selling — they told me what could wait."

Yes. The visual inspection, moisture readings and written estimate are free with no obligation. Lab testing is optional and quoted upfront if we recommend it.
Small patches under about 10 sq ft on non-porous surfaces often can be. Larger areas, porous materials or anything tied to a hidden leak usually need containment so spores don't spread to other rooms.
Sometimes — usually when mold results from a sudden, covered water event. We provide photos, readings and a written scope you can share with your adjuster. Coverage decisions are made by your insurer.
Rarely. Containment keeps the work zone sealed, so most families stay home. We'll tell you in advance if a specific room should be avoided.
We find and address the moisture source, then confirm with a clearance test. Remediation work carries a 2-year workmanship warranty when the moisture source is corrected.
Tell us where you're seeing signs and we'll suggest the right next step — sometimes that's just a dehumidifier.
